The kids have started learning and reviewing school skills. Yesterday they heard a story called Whole Body Listening Larry at School. Today we re-read the story and created posters highlighting the parts of the body we use to be good listeners.
When they listen with their ears, they hear what others say.
When they listen with their eyes, they look at whomever is speaking.
When they listen with their mouths, they are silent.
When they listen with their hands and feet, they are still.
When they listen with their body, they are not wiggly.
When they listen with their brain, they think about what they are hearing.
When they listen with their heart, they show they care.
We will be working on and reviewing Whole Body Listening throughout the school year!
